‘World can learn from Nepal’s peace process’

Kathmandu, March 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has termed the peace process and army integration process of Nepal unique and exemplary.

He said this in a meeting with visiting Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat, who paid a courtesy call on him at the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar Thursday.

The supreme commander of rebel armed force came to become prime minister of the country for two times in Nepal, which itself is rare example in the world, he added.

The world can learn from Nepal’s peace process. During the meeting, PM told the Indian Chief of Staff that Nepal’s unique peace process model can also be applied in Indian territory like Kashmir, shared PM’s foreign affairs adviser Dr Rishi Raj Adhikari.

The two discussed matters on further improving age-old bilateral relations and mutual cooperation, Adhikari told media.

Earlier, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had offered the title of Honorary General of Nepal Army to Indian Army Chief Rawat.
